Who Were The TOP 5 Players From The APAC Region in 2023?

VALO2ASIA is the voice for APAC Valorant where they vote every year for the best 20 players in the region for the most recent VCT year.

This year was the first year of the regional leagues where APAC shined through with their star team Paper Rex making it to two finals at Masters and Champions.

Their top 5 players consist of 4 players from the super team Paper Rex.

5. Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee

d4v41 is the initiator player for Paper Rex in the 2023 VCT season where he managed to reach great heights with his more calm and controlled playstyle compared to his teammates that will be mentioned later in this list.

He has been consistent in the success of Paper Rex and despite not winning a trophy yet, Paper Rex have shown what they are made of and d4v41 is one of the reasons for that success.

4. Kim “MaKo” Myeong-kwan

MaKo is widely known as one of the best controller players in the world, and this year he proved to still be in competition with players in that category such as Marved, s0m, Forsaken and Boaster.

DRX did have a disappointing year in all but the fact that MaKo has made this list shows the talent that he has and hopefully can bring the best out of him next year in VCT.

3. Ilya “something” Petrov

something joined Paper Rex at the beginning of the 2023 VCT season where he rose to fame as a Jett player who has crazy movement with an insane playstyle. Many thought that he was the perfect fit for the Paper Rex playstyle and they seemed to agree signing him to join them and reach the Champions final with him being a huge role in getting there.

2. Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto

forssakeN, as previously mentioned, is one of the hot prospects in Valorant ranking very highly in the worlds best controller players even though his role at Paper Rex is to flex around his team. This in itself requires a lot of skill which we have most recently seen Tyson ”TenZ” Ngo take up on Sentinels.

1. Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie

Jinggg was widely known for his crazy Raze plays across his career at Paper Rex and will go down in history as the best Raze player of his time. Unfortunately as sweet as first place is, he has been forced to step away from Valorant competitive for 2 years as he completes his mandatory military service for his country.

That is the top 5 players from the VCT 2023 APAC region. Someone else is coming for top spot since Jinggg is not playing this year, will it be forsakeN who will take the top spot, the rookie of the APAC region, something, or someone new such as the new signing for Paper Rex monyet?
