Coming into the game there were rumours of Rico Lewis getting his first England cap and the rumours came to fruition starring alongside Manchester City teammates, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish.

England came into the game as heavy favourites however, with a weaker side than expected from the Three Lions, the expectations weren’t met last night with England only coming away from the game with a 1-1 draw.

This does retain their unbeaten record, and it gave players like Rico Lewis time to shine, which is believed to be the aim of the coach, Gareth Southgate, coming into this international qualifier.

Lewis received Man Of The Match for his performance on his debut, showing great signs of talent within this already young, England squad.

Rico Lewis’ next game will be the game at home against Liverpool on the 25th of November with hopes to start the crucial game from Pep Guardiola after his stellar performance for England.
