Fluminense is home to the 5x Champions League winner Marcelo, who is hoping to get his 6th Club World Cup against the current heavy favourites, Manchester City.

Mateo Kovacic is looking to get his 4th Club World cup after winning 2 with Real Madrid and 1 with Chelsea in 2021. He is currently the only player in the City squad that has any Club World Cup titles.

Manchester City To Play FC Copenhagen In The Champions League

The round of 16 draw has been completed with the current holders, Manchester City to face off against the team who knocked Manchester United out of the competition, FC Copenhagen.

The games are set to take place from the 13th of February until the 21st of February for the first legs where it will be taking place in Copenhagen.

Despite City’s disrupted start to the season, it is seemingly looking bright for the team as Kevin De Bruyne is scheduled to be back into the first team with full fitness ready for the Round of 16 clash against Copenhagen.

With fans across the world expecting an easy win for the Citizens, results so far this season can dictate a different storyline for Pep’s players hoping to retain their title for back to back Champions League wins.

The favourites to win the competition still stand as City, however, Bayern Munich are in incredible form with their new star signing, Harry Kane scoring 20 goals in 14 appearances in the Bundesliga.

Fans across the world are hoping for a clash between these two monster teams and a head to head with Erling Haaland and Harry Kane once again in the quarter finals, supposing that both teams make it past their respective opponents.

Erling Haaland FURIOUS After 3-3 Draw To Spurs

Simon Hoopers sparks controversy across social media with shocking decision late into the game which could’ve won the game for the home side.

Manchester City drop points in decisive game for the title run with spurs getting 3 goals against the treble winners.

Erling Haaland results to social media after being seen visibly offended with the decision for Simon Hooper to call for a pull back for a City freekick after Jack Grealish was through on goal in the last minutes of the game.

City drop points to a weakened spurs in a game that was realistically a must win for Guardiolas side.

Despite dropping points and a shock decision, that isn’t the only thing wrong with this side yesterday with 2 of the players dropping off of the next game with the glue of the side Rodri getting his 5th yellow card and Grealish getting his 5th yellow card means that they both miss out on the came this coming Wednesday against Aston Villa.

A positive that Manchester City can take from this game is that their £100 million signing Jack Grealish ended his goal drought with a goal here at the Etihad despite him not being able to play against his old club Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Manchester City are now sitting 3rd in the Premier League 3 points off of Arsenal in the top spot once again.

Tottenham finish their loss run after 3 games with a draw at the Etihad putting them 5th 6 points off of the top.

Spurs Without MANY Key Players To Face Treble Winners

This Sunday, 3rd December, Manchester City welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Etihad Stadium to what is leaning to be a very important game for either team.

Tottenham have lost the last three premier league games in a row, leading up to this fixture with the Champions. With many injuries haunting them in these three losses.

They are coming into this game against the home side with a huge number of first time injuries that will hammer the chances they have to leave this fixture with any points.

With James Maddison’s injury earlier in the season, Spurs seem to have taken a big hit from this injury specifically with his linkup play not available for Son.

In the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, Heung-min Son put 3 goals in the back of the net for all of them to be called offside and this inevitably led to their defeat at home.

Despite looking beaten down already, Spurs are coming into a stadium where Manchester City are unbeaten for over a year only dropping points once, to Liverpool last week.

Manchester City recently overcame a 2 goal deficit midweek in the Champions League with a 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig at the Etihad with a stunning POTM performance from Phil Foden.

Coming into the game, Manchester City are heavy favourites with only having Kevin De Bruyne completely out of action from the first side team. John Stones has made his return to training and appeared on the bench for City against Liverpool and Leipzig despite not getting any minutes.

Erling Haaland currently has 14 goals in the Premier League 4 goals ahead of second place Salah. With records still being broken by the Norwegian, City fans can be confident in the fact that he should score a standard goal against this broken Spurs side on Sunday.

The game is set to take place on Sunday 3rd of December at 4:30pm GMT at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City cruise through first leg of Champions League knockout stage

Manchester City face off in this game against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal.

City were missing three important players, Kyle Walker (suspension), Jack Grealish (injury) and Gabriel Jesus (injury) for this important match.

This gave a chance for youngsters Luke Mbete, Liam Delap and James McActee to make if off the bench.

The blues lined up in their standard 4-3-3 with Phil Foden playing the false nine position. With Kyle Walker suspended, Pep Guardiola sent out John Stones to fill the right back role as Joao Cancelo played his standard left back role.

From the kick-off there was a clear difference in quality and City took dominated the opening exchanges.

Riyad Mahrez scored the opener of the game with an assist from Kevin De Bruyne. The goal was originally called for offside but after a long VAR check, the goal was given.

The second goal came from Portuguese international Bernado Silva with a left-foot volley from the edge of the box, a simply stunning goal on his return to his home country.

Phil Foden then got in on the act with a fake shot sending the keeper to the floor and leaving an open net for him to tap the ball into making it 0-3 after half an hour.

Although half-time loomed, City did not ease up with Bernardo Silva grabbing his second of the game. After a good run in behind from Sterling, Bernardo was left unmarked in the box and his deflected shot found the back of the net to make it four.

City totally dominated the first half showing why they are favourited to win this year’s competition.

After the break city resumed their dominance. Bernardo Silva thought he got his hattrick with a header at close range but it was quickly overruled by VAR for offside.

The final goal of the game came in the 58th and wrapped up a brilliant evening for Sterling. He cut in onto his right foot and curled the ball into the far corner leaving no chance for the Sporting keeper.

Bernardo Silva received the Man of the Match award for his scintillating performance.
